Before approaching a lender, you may a more experienced person to review your business proposal, especially if you are a first time borrower.

In doing so, you may present the loan proposal in a form to make it easier for lender to reach a positive decision for your loan.

There are support groups for businesses whose members can advise you on how the package your loan proposal.

A counselor might even discover that you do not need more money, and instead suggest a better inventory control, improving your marketing techniques, or other changes that might solve your growth problems without loan. A source of advice available to small businesses is the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), which is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Others sources include accountants and financial advisors.

When you are ready with a solid loan proposal to present to a lender, call for an an appointment to discuss your application. The lender can also be an excellent source of business and financial advise.
